I won't be able to make it to the meeting tonight. Be sure to let us know if anyone follows through with anything that's been said this past month. For some reason I'm doubting anything will be done. From both sides.

This is one corrupt bunch citizens of Hamburg. These issues date back to one Mr.G Kerr, he was the District Clerk. Who has the best Kerr story? I bet if we all put our stories together it would make a great case against the district. He and papa Crawford had the BOE duped, Dr. Calkins once called him a "man of god". That is scary!

Went to my first BOE meeting here in Hamburg. Where were all of you vocal people? FYI- it's your children's education and choices that are being discussed. Kudos to all the teachers I saw, and the community members who voiced their concerns. Especially the call for some consolidation of services throughout the local districts. Why do we have double salaries at the top? Tough decisions are about to be made, hopefully they will be the right ones!

nobody said anything at the board meeting. do the people of this district care that the educational programs of its students are going to be slashed? that class sizes are going to inflate to proportions that can barely be accomodated by the classrooms, not to mention not being conducive to learning. the children of this community are being cheated out of clubs, classes, extra curriculars and authentic learning experiences, and by remaining silent the members of the hamburg community are letting it happen. there is a lot of talk on this blog, but no action. every month those who control the district are open to the public so to speak, but only one resident has the guts to speak out and hold people accountable. thank you sally.
im sure ill catch heat for this post, but it is undeniably true

Steve makes decision to close the district wednesday, at 10am Tuesday. But last Monday SA didn't close the district until 7:15am for Monday. Is something wrong with Steve's judgement? And wher is he living in hamburg?

My father is screaming about my school being closed today. All he thinks about is work and doesn't understand why they closed. I told him to watch the news and he just laughed. I sort of agree because the weather is normal for February but I would rather be safe.

I'm surprised that no one showed up and they would rather throw stones from the comfort of their living rooms anonymously. Great show of support.
