Is Joan really running? When is she going to realize that she is running the district into the ground.

Collins and Calkins said...

Joan Calkins is ruining this district along with the Supt. and veteran member Patty Collins. She was on the board when we lost $1.8 million dollars. She didn't do her homework nor did MATT DILS He was the other incompetent on the board at the time. This district has never recoved from this and the underground is still around causing problems. The science dept. at the HS has been hit hard by this school board. We need to put a stop to them so our kids can have a fair shot at an education.

Dr. Joan Calkins is in denial. She is screwing with my kids education and her teacher aids.

Really? said...

Did Bob Madden really joke that the district should sell reclaimed prescription medications?

Joker Joker....Joker! said...

Steve joked that he should get a raise for every snow day he doesn't call. Did he stop and think how ridiculous his comment was when in the very next breath he was talking about people losing their jobs?

The only clear, questioning voice last night was Holly's. We really need a huge change on this BOE.

Anonymous said...

Why would Pom Pom Patty want to run for school board again when she does nothing?

Thanks Holly Balaya for voting against the budget.
I have been reading here that some board members have been shut out of the budget preparation.

We vote for members of the SB and the VP and Pres and Supt. lock out the same members who are responsible for the budget. Don't vote on anything unless you read it and agree with it. Remember this is what has gotten the district into this financial mess.

Dare you to post in full CH!
Oh sure. Holly is the best one on the board huh? Like being the daughter of Sally Stephenson, sharing private BOE information with, and being in bed with this blog does not influence that post. You people have become, or always were, what you now criticize! You condemn all that are not a part of your inner circle. The major content of this blog has thought and comment censorship, lies, slander, untruths, and rumors. What facts you do bring out are lost in your personal grudge against Hamburg Central. Sally, your daughter will never work at Hamburg again. Deal with it.
P.S. If you think you are fooling the masses with your own group's supportive posts you are sadly mistaken. It only takes a few to look like many. People are on to you CH. And I am quite sure this post will never make it public because it is not sympathetic to your bitter cause. But you have read this, and be sure if I know, many know.

Looks like the superintendent is posting to the blog. Hey steve how about those machine operators and inspectors for the election? You gonna have them stuff the ballot boxes like they did last year? You are being watched. Btw, slander is spoke, libel is written. Hasn't the hundreds of thousands you have spent with Harris beach taught you anything?????

Old Man Huen was at the BOE meeting last night. That makes at least two since he retired. He never went to the meetings when he was president of the HTA. What a pathetic person. Angry old man.

Sorry:

Sally Stephenson wasn't on this board and is not responsible for the financial mess that the seasoned members of this board got us into. At least Mrs. S. has the courage to speak up for what she believes in. It is far and few between us that are willing to speak up. Sally is speaking for those who cannot for fear of retribution to their jobs positions or children in our schools. Why not expose the facts.

Administration posting here.
And I would like to say to Holly keep asking questions and get some real answers not double talk. Oh by the way why would you assume anyones daughter would want to work here again.

A democracy is" by the people and for the people". You who write must be fat and happy, what about the individuals who were given the boot. Did you care in administration to help them. I can assume no as long as you keep your administrative job. I'm glad that Sally is in this for changes.

Doesn't matter who comes to site. It is just that a place to vent. Since many unable to speak at meetings or attend. I have found the main posts interesting and factual some comments, just that angry and some silly. But impressed by the general content. I also believe that because of this blog a lot of interest has been generated in those willing to take on the establishment and run for office 8 total for 3 seats. Concerned thanks for generating interest.

I'm voting for anyone that is not presently on the board. I am not pleased either with the direction my children's education is heading. Need to keep teachers and staff and reduce administration costs. My kids need classroom instruction not more administrators.

Is the Athletic Director tenured? anyone

if it takes a few to look like many why do you visit this site?

What rumors, lies, untruths please enlighten?

Administration problems possibly?

No guts or heart?

Don't like the Gordon Kerr escapes which was common knowledge in the dist.?

change please said...

Bitter, the district has been run into the ground by the people that are serving on the board. Not the new people running. You let the free spending go on for too long. Now are kids are suffering the loss of programs, teachers, larger class sizes and a declinging school system.

These are the facts if you don't like what those who have spoken on or exposed too bad you want to operate in secret. Get a grip I'm also glad to have Sally running.

Gregg Wachlacz posting not Acramo.
The bitter lying souls. We know the truth, being on the SB doesn't give you the right or privledge to make up lies.
Stun Gun yourself please.

Good for Sally keep exposing what we are entitled to know anyway. Thank you to the other candidates, willing to take the establishment on.
Vote out incumbents.

TO anony. "looks like Sally Stephenson wanting to take over the board"? Well everyone running wants to take over the board. They are obviously not satisfied with the state of AFFAIRS in administration. No pun intended

Last three years a disaster. Tme for real change. Me too happy for all the new candidates. Bob Madden remember is an appointment of the RSB's

Klozman said...

There have been two major areas of failure within the Hamburg School District, which, unless drastic changes are instituted, will continue to plague any effort to govern effectively. The first was the appointment of Achramo, a person who, considering his ignominious dismissal from two previous Superintendent positions, should never again have been considered for a commensurate assignment. The second is an inefficient, barely functional school board, the majority of who are in league with a seriously incompetent president. Their primary function is to rubber stamp every whim of their appointee Achramo when, in fact, they should be calling him to task for his shenanigans, deceitful ways, and incredibly poor ability to achieve anything significant. It would befuddle any mind privy to the scheming behind his selection, especially given that there were far more competent, baggage-less individuals in the loop.

This bring us to Sally Stephenson, one of the few individuals who have exposed the unmitigated pig dung spewed unreservedly upon a rather apathetic, poorly informed public by the above mentioned assemblage (ah, the joys of provincialism). The fact that a relatively small number of voters read and provide input to the Blog tends to support this contention. I note with amusement that in the upcoming election Sally S. occupies the top spot on the ballot while the RSB president graces the nether realm. This is poetic justice and hopefully a harbinger for the future. Ms. Stephenson will now be subjected to a series of ad hominem attacks, lies, etc. in an all out effort to discredit her, and you can rest assured that Achramo and Calkins are the primary instigators. After all, she embodies the most critical threat to the continued occupancy of their respective positions.

Time wounds all heels.

SALLY FOR BOE!!!!! GET RID OF MADDEN. LET HIM TAKE CATE OF FIRST NIAGARA.

District is getting sued because dils is a liar. Yep Matt dials who misses all the board meetings is a liar. The district is paying his legal fees

Anonymous said...

Concerned;

I've noticed that Matt Dils (thanks to Sb video of sb meetings and on line sb minutes) is absent often. If Mr. Dils engages in libel let him take care of his own legal charges.

personal responsibility for what you say said...

I would suspect that what Joan Calkins spreads about competition will not go unnoticed legally. I'm sure there are those ready to pounce on this.

answer;

athletic director not tenured.

Anybody other than the three that are on there now.

Why is the lists of candidates not on the Hamburg Web Site yet. Is the present board not allowing it?

Concerned,

I remember the days when no one came to school board meeting. We now have a lot of interest and interest in serving. A thank you for all the information and keeping us up on what is going on between the lines and the information they don't want us to have.

To April 18, 11:32 AM -

I'm not sure who you are or what you know, but know this.... while the administrators are making in the ball park of 3xs a teacher salary (and that is a teacher in the district for about 10 years) they are restructuring classes. Some classes may not be offered b/c of the lack of certified staff, some classes will be taught by teachers with no experience or by utilizing the rule that a teacher may teach 1 class outside of their certification area. This is not good for our kids. It may save money and it may solve some problems, but how are our kids going to get through a difficult course with a teacher who is just as lost as they are. The science department has taken 5 hits in the last few years. Isn't science the area that we are hoping will rescue this area and jump start our economy? Lets not even begin to talk about increased class sizes at the elementary level or the disappearance of programs. I just want a solid and fair education for my kids. I want people on the school board and in the administration who are willing to think creatively and outside the box. I want people who are going to do their best to make sure that the children of Hamburg receive the best possible education.

Concerned can you please learn about the Hamburg Alumni Hall of Fame in the Fall of 2010, and the Honda Dealership that gave a great deal of money to the district and to the Alumni Association. The car dealership for the first and only time in Hamburg History gave all kinds of money away. Despite the fact that the owners of the dealership live in Orchard Park, they gave money to Hamburg. Why? Was it hush hush money, thank you money to Dr. Crawford. Wasnt there a 5K kick to the field goal prize? Why Concerned, was it a pay off???? Please investigate.

Patty Collins cannot critically think for herself. Not the ability.

At the meet the candidates night, Patty Brunner Collins said, "we have cut several administrations, in the past few years." Um, did you mean administrators, Patty? Very unpolished. Are you SURE you are a registered nurse?
