According to the Buffalo News, Gov. Cuomo means business on the deadline for an approved teacher evaluation plan. The drop-dead date is January 15, 2013. So, we all learned in the Buffalo News that the Superintendent and the Hamburg Teachers Union have not reached an agreement. We reported here, that Superintendent Achramovitch:
(a) would not give the teachers time to review the plan, so they were not adequately prepared to address the district's plan, and
(b) released an APPR plan to New York State Ed, that he willfully knew had expired (a.k.a: it appears, Steve tried to lie to NYSED).
So, who will suffer if there is no plan in place?
#1 The STUDENTS
#2 THE TEACHERS- due to cuts
#3 THE STAFF- no teachers, no programs= no staff
#4 THE ADMINISTRATION,
#5 THE LAWYERS- AKA HARRIS BEACH AND ALL OTHERS,
#6 STEVE ACHRAMOVITCH- someone has to be the last one out the door to turn off the lights- and like always- it is the fat cat.
#7 Joan Calkins and the Board of Education- they apparently have no hearts nor any brains. Had they, Mr. Achramovitch would still be standing on the unemployment line from his last attempt run a school district in Greece NY.
SO BOARD OF EDUCATION: ARE YOU PREPARED TO FIRE MR. ACHRAMOVITCH?
AFTER ALL, YOU ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STUDENTS IN HAMBURG.
