Hamburg Central School Board meeting led the 11 p.m. on Tuesday 1-8-13
Channel 7 Eyewitness News.
According to Mr. Achramovitch the district is cautiously optimistic that APPR will pass the teachers union vote on Thursday.
Cautiously optimistic is a proper position at this point, as it seems many teachers who have written to Concerned are very concerned. Of course the district has made the usual threats of program and job cuts, but they have failed to address the excess costs beyond the $450, 000 in state aid that will be incurred by the district.
One thing is for certain: there will certainly be job cuts if APPR is passed, the district simply can NOT afford the increased costs APPR will impose on the district.
A Vote of YES is a vote to more cuts.
VOTE NO ON APPR!
Teachers are mainly concerned about the APPEALS PROCESS, which Concerned has learned must be a separate ballot item when the teachers vote on Thursday.
Teachers you are foolish to vote yes on this plan that was thrown together at the last minute, and which many of you have so many questions about.
Vote NO on APPR!
Not only do you have the superintendent by his short and curlies, you also hold the keys to your upcoming contract negotiations.
