Achramovitch resigns amid pressure as Hamburg School Superintendent

Hear Ye Hear Ye- Steven Achramovitch "retired" from the Hamburg School District this evening in a special meeting of the Board of Education.

Three years ago, Mr. Achramovitch pulled the same "retirement" stunt with Greece Schools before Donald Ogilve of Erie One BOCES landed him a job in Hamburg.

Mr. Achramovitch has had a retirement waiver pending from NYS Education Department for three years. This ought to be investigated along with all of the other actions of Mr. Achramovitch.

It was reported that Hamburg Town Police were present in the parking lot of the Hamburg Administration Bldg this evening "just in case" any events took place which would require police intervention.

Concerned Hamburger was told that at least one citizen filed a possible harassment complaint against Mr. Achramovitch due to his recent conduct and outrageous allegations against community members. The police were on duty to ascertain a safe and open public meeting, according to a source.

Before Ye All send Mr. Achramovitch a Hallmark card, please be advised that he, along with Joan Calkins,  brought the very darkest days of the Hamburg School District.  Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been squandered on Energy Education, Harris Beach and many other school district leeches.

Good Bye Steve....and Joan...the public has answered the question,  "Are these the kind of people (sic) you want working in the Hamburg Central School District (sic) for the next 30 years?".

The answer Steve and Joan to your very own question is NO!

Long over due, we need to move past this and start to heal. Thanks to those that have challenged this administration by stepping up to run for school board and make the positive steps to right this ship. Thanks to all those involved who have made this day a reality.

Let us move on now in the positive direction of educating our children.

Many good people have been hurt and/or harmed by Steve Achramovitch and Dr. Joan Calkins, so I will not feel one bit sorry for them.

CONGRATULATIONS, HAMBURG!! Steve fought the bloggers (there and here) but the bloggers won ;)

Time Wounds All Heels. Still, until the Achramamba has submitted a formal letter of resignation this could be mere posturing to gain support. The new board must meet and take decisive action to thwart future negative consequences.

We cannot agree more with all these posts. WE WILL MOVE ON IN A MORE POSITIVE WAY. Yes "time wounds all heels"

I would think this post on 1st glance mean, but reflecting on the many employees he has hurt and lied about I think all is appropriate here.

To Scats,(Greece)

it has been a rough road with Steve Achramovitch as in Greece and Ken/Ton. We are all breathing a little easier.

Thanks
