The Hamburg Central School has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday July 23 at 7:30 a.m. at the Hamburg Administration Bldg.. Concerned Hamburger is posting this meeting, despite emails that came today suggesting the meeting was moved to the evening and even cancelled. The meeting was posted on the district web page. It is unclear what is going on in Hamburg Schools. It seems there is a state of topsy turvy, with no capable person running the district.
Conflict and uncertainty is coming from the superintendent's office and it appears that interim superintendent Rick Jetter is having trouble organizing board meetings. Perhaps, Dr. Jetter is getting weak in the knees in the face of revealing to the community that the district is short 1/2 million dollars all while he is collecting about $170.00 per day on top of his generous $120K/ year salary. Not bad for a guy who has NO EXPERIENCE.
Surely, the Board of Education has many issues to address with the public. For example, what's the plan for a superintendent, where is the 1/2 million in state aid, is the district making up hiring practices as they go?, what about the special education lawsuits and lastly why Dr. Jetter?.
C'mon Board of Education, where is the transparency?
