Concerned Hamburger was emailed the below letter (in blue) from a Hamburg Central School District administrator. The administrator requested their name not be disclosed fearing retribution from the Hamburg Teachers'Association (HTA) President Amy Takacs, and Vice President Scott Weidmann- authors of the letter. It was suggested by the administrator who contracted us that both officers of the HTA are inexperienced and uncouth.
Concerned Hamburger has read this letter (blue below), and is confused.
It seems that the Hamburg Teachers Association, which allegedly endorsed David Yoveine, Catherine Schrauth Forcucci and Laura Heeter for seats on the Board just six short months ago, are now confused and distrustful of the very Board of Education the members endorsed and overwhelmingly elected. It was reported to Concerned Hamburger that Amy Takacs was on the committee to identify and select candidates, and an advertisement with her name on it appeared in Hamburg Sun newspaper just days before the election. The actions of the HTA under her attempted leadership is hostile to the Hamburg Board of Education.
It appears that the HTA under President Takacs and Vice President Weidmann is unstable and confused, and both officers are in desperate need of a lesson in the English language. If any reader can interpret this gobbledygook, please leave comments.
At the very least, these teachers might have taken a moment to correctly spell the name of Mr. Vincent Coppola, a fine man, who was selected by the Hamburg Board of Education to seek out a new superintendent. Oddly, Concerned Hamburger has learned that the Hamburg Teachers' Association Vice President is an English teacher, and as such ought use care in penning letters to the Board of Education.
What exactly are they asking for?
And what exactly is their vision?
Are these the words of the Hamburg teachers?

President Yoviene and HCSD BOE members:
Integrity Hope Trust Transparency
As the Hamburg community embarks on its mission to select a new Superintendent for the Hamburg Central School District, it has never before been this important that the process reflect the above four (4) tenets of human behavior.
Never before has the need to ‘get it right’ been this paramount.
Every stakeholder - the students, parents, teachers, administrators, BOE members - must forge together and demonstrate a commitment to the present and to the future.
The Hamburg Teachers’ Association remains poised to become one of the pillars of this mission and are invested in ensuring that the next Superintendent of Hamburg is a shining example of our great district.
We urge the BOE to embrace a thoughtful, measured, democratic approach that will enable all parties concerned to invest fully in the process. A shared approach will demonstrate with great confidence to the community, that the process was completely thorough and respectful to the voices of all stakeholders.
A support of this approach would challenge the proposed timeline recently outlined by Dr. Coppolla. We believe that a thorough reflective search will result in a positive and appropriate decision for our district.
We appreciate the opportunity to express to you our vision for the shared task ahead and welcome a further conversation at your earliest convenience.
