July 9, 2013: Richard Jetter, assistant superintendent for human resources and technology, is named interim superintendent of the Hamburg schools.
Sept. 24, 2013: Board member Catherine Schrauth Forcucci asks for legal bills from Jetter. Police are called, and she leaves when asked to by an officer.
Oct. 2, 2013: Six parents meet with the School Board in executive session seeking the resignations of board members Sally Stephenson and Schrauth Forcucci.
Oct. 3, 2013: The first community meeting convened by parents is held at Erie 1 BOCES; about 100 attend.
December 2013: State Education Commissioner John B. King says Hamburg is on his radar. Also, parents submit hundreds of signatures seeking the removal of board members Holly Balaya, Stephenson and Schrauth Forcucci.
March 11, 2014: Jetter is named permanent superintendent on a 4-2 vote, prompting a standing ovation. He is given a five-year contract.
March 10, 2014: State education commissioner denies parent Daniel Chiacchia’s petition to remove Stephenson and Balaya and tells board members to get along.
April 30, 2014: The School Board votes, 4-2, to approve charges of official misconduct against Schrauth Forcucci and refuses to release the charges to the public.
May 5, 2014: A car that looks like Jetter’s was damaged in Buffalo, according to a witness at a later hearing.
May 6, 2014: A written threat and damage to Jetter’s car are discovered after a School Board meeting.
May 7, 2014: Teachers and community members hold a rally to support Jetter.
May 10, 2014: Jetter reports discovering eggs thrown on a rental vehicle at his house.
May 20, 2014: Thomas Flynn is re-elected and Cameron Hall is elected to the School Board.
May 27, 2014: A hearing to remove Schrauth Forucci starts at the administration building, where the public and the media are locked out of the building. The hearing continues May 28 and June 4 in secret.
June 11, 2014: State Supreme Court Justice Diane Devlin rules that the misconduct hearing must be held in public.
June 25, 30 and July 2, 2014: The hearing continues in public with Jetter and others from the district testifying.
July 22, 2014: The district announces that Jetter is under investigation by Hamburg village police and that two administrators are serving as acting superintendents.
