Emergency Hamburg Board of Education Meeting 3-17-16

Hamburg School Board will meet at 7:15 a.m. on St. Patrick's Day at the Administration building to discuss litigation.

The Boars posted the agenda today, and have already violated Open Meeting Laws.

Could it be, that someone has filed a lawsuit against the Boars and the inexperience "Superintendent Cornut"?

nO- they got their clocks cleaned after spending one million dollars going after a tenured teacher and the judge told them it was a scamZ. They got beat so bad, now the BOARS are trying to get the decision over turned. Some how the idiots don't realize their Hodgson russ attorney ELIZABETH MCPHAIL- failed and sucks big time. .

How about the recent board minutes that were posted? Looks like Hamburg has set their class size for elementary schools and is willing to lose teachers to keep it. Don't they know that fewer students in a class is a good thing? Continuously hiring and laying off is not the best way to keep good teachers.
And how about adding a teacher in science at the high school? Is this because HHS forced the department to create new classes in the hopes that more students will choose totaled science electives?
And what about the huge class sizes in English and History at HHS... But there is extra time (and bodies) in the math department to offer a multi-period lab for kids taking AP Math only. No similar lab for special education students who struggle across the board in all classes.

How about the board start reviewing the program's offered to kids at HHS to see if they follow sound education policy.

8:23 am- why don't you walk down to the history department and ask Rebecca Nahrebeski what the board is doing to a fellow co worker? You know the teacher Rebecca left school and went to the village police and complained about- a big fat liar- emphasis on the discriptor. And Lisa Palma- ask her. You see 8:23 those two fools lied about a coworker and they got caught big time. It's a story that the union would like to ignor, but they have to know its all coming at them and the district like a freight train. Does the taxpayer know a substitute teacher had been working in the district for 3 years and not one but two teachers are being paid. Waste and fraud is the name of the game and the top is gonna come off in just a short time now. Right in time for the budget and election and let's see what the tax payers have to say. Cornell is incompetent and is resting his empty head on the shoulders of the slobs at Hodgson russ. The truth is gonna hurt big time and the person who is gonna tell it is fearless. Don't ya know.

The Board of Education is going to put up a budget asking for more money. Let's not give them any more money. They waste it all. VOTE NO ON THR BUDGET!

9:29, I bet you didn't mean to post with your name...
8:52, voting down the budget isn't going to stop the school board from their legal pursuits; it will however cause more teacher layoffs, larger class sizes and more headaches for students whose services are cut
8:32... No doubt the board has not been using its financial resources in the best way to help students succeed, but that shouldn't stop the district from doing an analysis of the programs offered to students and assessing their impact on student success and growth. Not much has been done at the high school level to build any kind of culture for academics other than "student of the month" where the same students get recognized over and over again.
8:23...has the district given any thought to reducing the number of administrators? Their contract is open for negotiation again next year, I wonder if they will keep their $1500+ per year health spending account generous oily paid for by the district, and their 30+ vacation days. They really don't work 12 months a year... More like 10.25
8:17... Has a decision been made about the lawsuit you mention, I found some interesting stuff about s recent decision from state Ed to throw out a challenge to someone's tenure, but didn't see anything on that one

10:09- Yeah State Ed through out the petition to have tenure removed from James Martinez, because Martinez based on facts submitted to state Ed is dangerous to adults and children. He is a liar, and State Ed, because Andy Freedman is up their arse, threw the petition out on procedural grounds... NOT MERIT. State Ed couldn't dispute the FACTS about Martinez. So they dismissed on procedural grounds. So wait till the nut does something to a kid or adult, everyone knows what a hot head he is. Yeah, that will come back to bite the district.

I heard someone is putting all the papers posted to an internet sight, with a new blog or website to expose the district. Its gonna be launched real soon, and that will be a good read. I heard the hearing officer called the actions of the district a "sham"! That will all come out soon tho.

I wonder if Mr. Hearing Officer reads this blog? If so, I hope he know the district is pissed off with his very fair decision. And that they are going to spent 100K challenging him. That lawyer Liz McPhail, also referred to in lawyer land as Liz "I am gonna Phail", really needs to give her client better advice or she might get sued for malpractice. Or at the very least get reported to the County Bar along with Dirty Dog Andy Freedman. It really must suck to have no morals. Just Saying

7:53 Is this a new lawsuit or the same one that has been ongoing with the former economics teacher?

Seems like if board members are waging legal wars from within their role in the BOE and are costing the district money they should be required to step down. I wonder how much, total, has been spent on legal defense since the Jetter days...
A blog post about exactly what all that money spent on filling the pockets of lawyers could have done to fill the brains of kids with knowledge and teachers classrooms with needed technology/supplies would be a very interesting read.

I have heard that in other districts kids are getting to do really cool things- like go on regular school sponsored field trips, take real technology classes where they do things like build robots, have a computer for every kid in their classroom... And here we are at Hamburg l, with higher taxes and fewer resources... And more budget cuts.

Maybe Hamburg tax payers should require Hamburg CSD to keep a webpage updated with the number of current lawsuits it is battling and copies of the bills. The board has not been very transparent with their dealings and the public needs more information.
Is there any way to ditch the whole board and start from scratch?

Maybe someone should look at the legal bills and realize that there are more lawsuits now and the lawyers are running the district. And we are talking about stupid people. For example, one Hodgson russ attorney recently made suck a fool of herself. Any teacher will get a chuckle. This little lawyer, thinks that lesson plans have points. We are talking one dumb shit. Really points with lesson plans. And teAchers, David Yoviene and Laura Heeter have spent more money with Hodgson russ than was ever spent by Stevenson. Remember those days, when the evildoer CHA, Calkins, little Pizza faced Piazzia, windy evendon and madam Christina were bitching about? Yep, Yoviene and Heeter said they were going stop with the lawyers. However, when you have an idiot- like Cornell in a job he knows little about- you gotta get your confidence and direction from over paid lawyers. It's corrupt. Forcucci knew it and look what CHA had done to her. Sit up and pay attention. Because it could be u next. Let see the district post all the legal bills on line- where's the Bufdalo News? I say vote that budget down. There's plenty of money when you fire the lawyers. And stop paying two teachers to do one job. Oh the lies. They cut history teachers in 2010, but they've been paying two to do one persons job for 3 years. Scum of the earth board members are stealing your kids education. Ask Mike McgArry he is a dirty as the rest of them. Real piglets.

Does the District pay hodgson russ in Brooklyn to troll the blog. Oh Plulez- lets see how andy Freedman is gonna dig out? Scumbags taking the money from kids. Real Scum.

ConcernedHamburger,

Why don't you write about the Hodgson Russ Lawyer Carlson who tried to get the school board to retaliate against a teacher fro filing charges against the district at the new york state division of human rights. I heard that a lawyer can be disbarred fro offering legal advice to retaliate against someone for exercising their constitutionally protected acts? Yes, its true ask Tom Flynn, he told me that the lawyers are harassing a teacher and a shit storm is on the way. So, can a lawyer be disbarred for counseling a client to retaliate against someone and try to take their job for filing complaints with the Human Rights EEOC? Why don't you look in to that Hamburger? That seems to be interesting.
