New York State Education Department- plays politics

Listening to the Buffalo Board of Education meeting on the radio prompted thoughts of the Hamburg School Board witch-hunt and slaying of former Board Member Catherine Forcucci.  Mrs. Forcucci asked too many questions and was far too independently minded for the likes of Hamburg.  Mrs. Forcucci made requests for financials, legal records and questioned the hiring of Richard Jetter.  Some suggest that former Erie One BOCES BOSS Donald Ogilvie was a little nervous having strong minded intelligent women meddling in his toy box.

So the story goes, Mrs. Forcucci was voted off the island by her very own peers after a long costly hearing spearheaded by none other than loose cannon Andrew Freedman, Esq of the Hodgson Russ Law Firm.   Mr. Freedman, head clown in the circus, hired his former law partner David Hoover to preside over the hearings.  There should be no doubt that Mr. Hoover is an unethical man.  He was programmed to finalized the desires of his former BOSS Ogilvie. ( after all, Don got Dave his NYS pension).   Mr. Hoover was paid by the school district.

Rightfully, Mrs. Forcucci filed two petitions with the New York State Education Commissioner- one shortly after David Yoviene exercised poor judgment in voting to bring charges against Forcucci, and a second petition after the kangaroo court removed Forcucci.

Mrs. Forcucci has TWO 310 PETITIONS IN FRONT OF THE  NEW YORK STATE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION since the Spring and Summer of 2014, and the COMMISSIONER HAS FAILED TO ACT.
Concerned suggests that Forcucci file a lawsuit against the NYSED for failing to act in a timely matter, and consequently denying her due process.  Perhaps Mrs. Forcucci should swap stories with Carl, and join forces to investigate NYSED.

So we turn our attention to Mr. Carl Paladino.   Yesterday's Buffalo Board of Education Meeting and the conduct of some of those in attendance brought to mind the Hamburg School Board and the  members of the Hamburg public who frequently attended and acted out.   Hamburg characters like Madam Christine Whipple, Attorney Daniel Chiacchia, School Principal James Martinez, Wendy Evenden,  Eddie Piazza (and his bride Beth), Mollie Reader,  and let us not forget Ed Osbourne's son-in-law Joe Gunning.  Who can forget those outspoken, ill-informed trouble-makers?   It appears Buffalo has the same ilk.

The Buffalo Board Meeting resulted in a resolution demanding Mr. Paladino resign, or else.  Or else what?

The Buffalo Board and a group of "rogue" parents are planning to file 306 Petitions with Commissioner of Education Elia seeking Mr. Paladino's removal from his seat.    Commissioner Elia has stated she is watching Buffalo to see what happens.    Mr. Paladino has until today to make his decision, and here is hoping he stays right where he is.

This is America folks, and if you don't like what elected officials have to say- vote them out of office.  Surely, Mr. Paladino's comments were disgusting, but he is well within his rights to make them for as offensive as they might be to most decent people.

Perhaps Carl will have some sense of relief when he reads this post and learns that the Commissioner is 3 years behind on making decisions on Petitions in the Office of Counsel.   After almost three years, the Commissioner has yet to decide on Forcucci's matter, so it would only seem right, just and proper to tend to the first in, first out rule.

Wishful thinking- NYSED is playing politics and here is hoping they will do the dance with Carl Paladino.
