"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good (women) men to do nothing." Edmund Burke

Dear Commissioner Elia-
Actions speak louder than words.
Recently, in a letter to school districts you stated,  “There is literally nothing more important than the safety of our children. As adults we are morally bound to ensure both their physical and emotional well-being,” .    Did you mean to conclude that remark by adding, except in Hamburg Central Schools.

Commissioner Elia and the Hamburg School District were recently served with a legal papers outlining the sick transgressions of Mr. James Martinez- Boston Valley Elementary School,  Brent Jordan, Colleen Kaney, and Rick Jetter  who intentionally placed the mental health of a child in jeopardy by their lies.   A school district employee,  Mrs. June Meissner, was a willing participant in the scheme to emotionally abuse a child.  Many Hamburg teachers are fully aware of the lies that were told, but have done NOTHING.

Yes readers these are strong words, but they are true.
You see,  the aforementioned adults, most of whom are licensed as State of New York educators,  concocted a scheme to harm a Hamburg teacher by making intentionally false claims that June Meissner's children were NOT safe in Hamburg High School and Hamburg Middle School because of that  teacher.   The teacher in question was not in school at the time of the elaborate lies.  The teacher wrote to CH and provided documents and evidence that underscores this sick story.   The targeted teacher reported the adults to NYSED, but the report was met with disinterest.

So, could it be that the words of Elia are not to be applied in Hamburg?   Is is OK with the Commissioner that the aforementioned adults have no morals- and therefore are unable to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of children- as their actions illustrate.

The Hamburg administrators  LIED, created a "safety plan" for the High School student, engaged the student in a letter writing campaign in which the teacher was defamed and sent the false reports to  the New York State Office of School Personnel and Accountability.   The student at the high school was in her sophomore year, and not a student of the targeted teacher.  Mrs. Meissner's daughter, who apparently needed mental help because of the loose marbles rolling around in  her head, was instead  preyed upon by energy bus passengers Martinez, Jetter, Jordan and Kaney.   The child was led to believe she was unsafe, and was so terrified she wrote about "cutting" herself.

This is what these administrators intentionally did to a child, because the administrators were making up lies about a teacher they just don't like.
Every single reader should be outraged.

The female student was provided a  "safety plan" so she could travel around Hamburg High School on her own terms and duck into any classroom she desired and call Mr. Jordan who would run to the child's rescue.  The child was led to believe the absent teacher had a gun, and was going to follow her home from school.   This is NOT fantasy folks, it happened.   CH was sent all the documents to support this.  The child was led to believe that this was a real threat.  But is was the sick imaginations of the adults who apparently had it out of the teacher in question.    In her letter to the New York State Education Department the child, now an adult, writes about wanting to "cut " herself because of the LIES that were told to her by school district employees.   Mr. Brent Jordan, who was acting High School Principal, engaged in this process and endorsed the plan even though he knew it was a lie. He allowed a child to be abused.  Shortly there after, Mr. Jordan got a promotion, tenure and  raises of tens of the thousands of dollars.  The school board is well aware of this matter, and are working real hard to cover it up.

So, Commissioner Elia, what say you?
It is a fact that employees of the New York State Education Department- Lisa Recore, Bart Zabon and Daniel Harder have ignored the factual reports made of these and other events that put children in harms way in Hamburg.  CH was provided with NYSED's lack-luster replies.   Mrs. Elia: Colleen Kaney, an over paid administrator, who was promoted after engaging in an extra-marital affair, is the DASA coordinator for the Hamburg School District, and she abused the DASA system by engaging in fraud.

Yes, fraud, Commissioner Elia, and "hate based actions".     The attorneys for the school district- Andrew Freedman and Elizabeth Carlson of Hodgson Russ know all about  the lies and the false reports- and as mandatory court reporters- it appears they are more concerned about covering up the lies and running the legal meter in Hamburg than doing the right thing.

Mrs. Meissner allowed school administrators to use her children in hate based actions.  But, then she got a job in the district ( what a price to pay for a pension check!).  Mrs. Meissner attended a meeting held by Daniel Chiacchia, Esq.. She stood and lied to  a room full of mandatory court reporters that her daughter was unsafe at school, and she filed a false police report with the less than honorable Captain Melisz of the Village of Hamburg Police.

Police reports don't go away- so should you need evidence Commissioner Elia- feel free to FOI your brains out.

So Commissioner Elia, what are you going to do?  You are fully aware of this sick story, and you and your people in Albany have chosen to ignore and stick your heads in the sand.    You recommend that schools advise staff what to do if they see hate based issues in schools.    Why bother to report these issues Mrs. Elia, if they are responded to with indifference?   If school administrators are willing to do this to children, and YOU do nothing Mrs. Elia- you are as guilty as they who commit the crimes against kids.  So, put your words into actions and hold accountable the evil- doers that have done untold emotional harm to children, because they were trying to harm an innocent teacher.

 ELIA'S LETTER:
Letter to School Leaders Provides Resources for Complying with the Dignity for All Students Act and Preventing and Addressing Hate-Based Actions
State Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia and Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today sent a letter to school districts with guidance on how to ensure schools are safe havens where students are free to learn without fear of discrimination, harassment or intimidation directed toward students and employees as a result of their race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis.

“There is literally nothing more important than the safety of our children. As adults we are morally bound to ensure both their physical and emotional well-being,” Commissioner Elia said. “Students must feel safe in the classroom to be able to learn. As state and educational leaders, it is our responsibility to foster an open dialogue with students and employees about discrimination, harassment and intimidation and send a strong message that these types of behaviors will not be tolerated in our schools. I am so pleased that our state’s leadership – Governor Cuomo, Attorney General Schneiderman and Speaker Heastie – recognize the importance of supporting our schools as they address this difficult issue with our children. I encourage school leaders to host gatherings for students and employees to help prevent hate-based words and actions and to inform them of what to do if they witness or experience any such hateful acts.”
“We will not allow hateful rhetoric and acts of discrimination to follow students into the classroom, which must remain a place for our children to learn and grow in a positive and safe environment,” said Attorney General Schneiderman. “I encourage all schools and educators to consider how they can foster constructive dialogue among students in order to combat hate and create a culture of understanding and respect. As always, my office is ready and willing to serve as a resource for schools that need assistance implementing the guidelines of the Dignity for All Students Act, designed to protect students from bullying and intimidation in schools. Families across New York should know that we are ready to ensure that our children will not be subjected to prejudice or bigotry.”

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said, “One of our greatest responsibilities as a society is protecting our children from any challenges to their well-being.  The recent increase in reports of harassment and intimidation in schools is extremely troubling, but we will remain vigilant in our efforts to ensure that New York is a safe home for all our citizens. As we have done before, we will work together to raise awareness and support our educators in their mission to provide safe havens where students can learn in inclusive environments and celebrate their diversity without fear or intimidation. The Assembly Majority is grateful to Commissioner Elia and Attorney General Schneiderman for their leadership in moving this issue forward. I would especially like to commend my colleague, Assembly member Danny O’Donnell, for his tireless efforts in championing the Dignity for All Students Act, which will now be our guide in achieving this important mission.”
Assembly member Cathy Nolan said, “There is no question that recent incidents have raised concerns for our children and threaten the inclusivity and equality that we have all worked so hard to achieve for them. It is absolutely critical that students feel safe and supported during their time at school. Thanks to the leadership of Assembly member Danny O’Donnell and his commitment to protecting our children with the Dignity for All Students Act, we have a strong foundation from which to step up our efforts.  I commend Commissioner Mary Ellen Elia, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Speaker Heastie and the Board of Regents for their swift attention and response to these troubling events.”
